Mr. Eric LeihMr. Eric Leih has served as the choral director for J.R. Gerritts Middle School since the 2015-2016 school year. He directs all choral ensembles at JRG, serves as music director for all JRG Theatre productions and is an advisor for the JRG Talent Show.
Originally from Merrill, Wisconsin, Mr. Leih graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Music Education (K-12 Choral/General Music), summa cum laude. He has previously performed with the Oshkosh Chamber Singers of Oshkosh, WI; NewVoices of Appleton, WI and the Master Singers of Eau Claire, WI. Mr. Leih currently serves as the Tenor Section Coach for the Wisconsin School Music Association Middle-Level State Honors Choir. He has previously served as the Youth Repertoire & Resources Coordinator and Middle-Level Repertoire and Resources Chair for the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association from 2016-2022 and was a board member for the Oshkosh Chamber Singers from 2019-2022. Mr. Leih is also an active choral clinician has served as the guest conductor of the 7th-8th Grade Men's Choir for the 2018 Real Men Sing festival held at UW-Milwaukee, the Middle School Honor Chorus at the 2019 Six Rivers Conference Honor Choir festival, and the Lake Moraine Middle Level Honor Choir in 2022. Mr. Leih is a member of the National Association for Music Education, the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association, and the American Choral Directors Association. He lives in Menasha, WI. |
